Angel Cake
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Cake Flour
- 1 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 1/2 c Egg whites
- 1 1/2 tsp Cream of tartar
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
Instructions
- Sift together flour and powdered sugar 3 times.
- Beat Egg whites until foamy.
- Add Salt and cream of tartar.
- Gradually beat in granulated sugar until stiff.
- With flat egg beater fold in powdered sugar/flour then vanilla and almond flavorings.
- Put in spring pan and place in “cold” oven.
- Bring to 350 degrees and bake about 35 minutes.
- Frost with favorite icing.
