Meatball Sub Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 Cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 3 TBSP Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Ib ground beef
  • 1 loaf (1lb) Italian Bread cut into 1 inch slices
  • 1 - 8 0z pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese divided
  • 1 28 oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 garlic cloves

Instructions

  1. In bowl, combine onion, crumbs, and parmesan cheese.
  2. Add Beef and mix well.
  3. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on greased rack in shallow baking pan.
  4. Bake at 400 for 15-20 min or until no longer pink.
  5. Arrange bread in single layer in ungreased 9X13 pan (it may not all fit)
  6. Combine cream cheese, mayo, italian seasoning, and pepper. spread over bread.
  7. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese.
  8. Combine the sauce, water, and garlic. Add meatballs. Pour over cheese mixture.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  10. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes or until hot
