Meatball Sub Casserole
Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 Cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
- 3 TBSP Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Ib ground beef
- 1 loaf (1lb) Italian Bread cut into 1 inch slices
- 1 - 8 0z pkg cream cheese softened
- 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese divided
- 1 28 oz jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup water
- 2 garlic cloves
Instructions
- In bowl, combine onion, crumbs, and parmesan cheese.
- Add Beef and mix well.
- Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on greased rack in shallow baking pan.
- Bake at 400 for 15-20 min or until no longer pink.
- Arrange bread in single layer in ungreased 9X13 pan (it may not all fit)
- Combine cream cheese, mayo, italian seasoning, and pepper. spread over bread.
- Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese.
- Combine the sauce, water, and garlic. Add meatballs. Pour over cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes or until hot
