Ingredients

  • About 3 qt milk
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 can Milnot
  • small carton of Sour Cream
  • 1 TBSP Flour
  • (If Vanilla, Use 2 TBLS
  • If Banana use 3 Bananas
  • If Strawberry, a pint
  • If Pineapple, a can.)

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs well.
  2. Mix 2 Cups sugar and flour.
  3. Add to scalded milk while stirring.
  4. Slowly pour 1/2 Cup milk mixture into eggs.
  5. Then pour eggs into pan of milk stirring constantly.
  6. Bring to a boil. Let cool completely.
  7. (Can be done a day ahead of time)
  8. Mix together 1/2 Cup sugar, Sour cream, and fruit.
  9. Pour in milnot.
  10. Pour into freezer.
  11. Fill to 3” from top with milk about 2 qts.
  12. Stir well.
  13. Alternate layers of ice 5”
  14. Salt 1 1/2” finish with ice keep filling with ice.
  15. Allow water to flow from spout
  16. When motor stalls disconnect immediately. Usually about 25 mins.
  17. Tip to empty water, remove to, scrape dasher.
  18. Put wax paper and replace top and cork
  19. Add more salt and ice.
  20. Cover with old blanket
  21. Put in cool place at least 3 hours.
